BAM Ritchies health & safety management system is third
party accredited to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and
is designed to ensure the highest standards of Health &
Personal continual development is a key to excellent contract
performance and BAM Ritchies devotes a substantial amount
of time, energy and money in providing it's workforce with
a class leading training programme. BAM Ritchies is accredited
by the Investors in People organisation through
its parent company.
It is the policy of BAM Ritchies to clearly define and meet
Clients requirements whilst seeking continuous improvement
in all aspects of the services offered.
BAM Ritchies is one of very few contractors with both UKAS
Laboratory accreditation and ISO 9001:2008.
The BAM Ritchies Quality Management System (QMS) is Lloyds
accredited to ISO 9001: 2008, with it encompassing
every aspect of Ground Engineering, Ground Investigation,
Laboratory Testing and Drilling & Blasting.
BAM Ritchies Environmental Management System (EMS) is also
BM Trada accredited to ISO 14001:2004 for
all its activities
BAM Ritchies Quality Management System links with the BAM
Nuttall Management Manual. This describes the scope of operations
within BAM Ritchies and defines the proceedures to be followed
to manage the company effectively and to comply with ISO9001:
2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
The nature of BAM Ritchies business, which ranges from short
duration ground investigations to more complex geotechnical
tasks and to partnering agreements for Drilling and Blasting
services, is covered by either Departmental Management Plans
or Project Management Plans. These incorporate the health
and safety and quality and environment aspects of projects.
The integrated HSQE management process has been developed
and implemented to enhance customer satisfaction and meet
Customer feedback plays an important part of the BAM Ritchies
programme of continual improvement. Objective customer feedback
is actively sought through a system of formal questionnaires.
The results are monitored and reviewed regularly.
