BAM Ritchies’ site laboratory in Scotland is the first in the UK to receive UKAS accreditation for sampling and testing of sprayed concrete.
Tests carried out on site include, sampling fresh and hardened concrete (BS EN14488-1), compressive strength of young sprayed concrete (BS EN14488-2) and fibre content of fibre reinforced sprayed concrete (BS EN14488-7).
The laboratory has been working closely with the site sprayed concrete teams to design and develop spray mixes that meet the demanding requirements there.
The Glendoe Hydro-electric Power Station Recovery Project is a BAM Nuttall / BAM Ritchies / Wyass & Freitag JV to recover the power station following the ingress of material into the main intake tunnel.
